Lee and Man Paper Lingnan Walkathon 2023 – Walk for Start-ups!
LU signature outdoor fundraising event, the Lee and Man Paper Lingnan Walkathon 2023 – Walk for Start-ups! was successfully held on Sunday, 23 April in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD). The Lingnan Walkathon 2023 - “Walk for Start-ups!” is the first Hong Kong university fundraising walk to raise start-up fund for students and young graduates to pursue their entrepreneurial initiatives with a focus on ESG in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
The event was officiated by the Honourable Paul CHAN Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Mr Chan praised the mission of the event. He shared his faith towards the development of green finance, and expressed the supports on entrepreneurship. He made a great wish for the successful event.
Led by Professor YU Kar Ming, more than 30 students, teachers and staff from Lingnan Institute of Further Education participated in the event. The LIFE participants set off from the lawn of the West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park, and walked along the West Kowloon Cultural District waterfront promenade, a distance of about three kilometers. They enjoyed a journey of spectacular scenery along the waterfront and the green grassland.
