LIFE Info Day 2023 (Session 2) was successfully held
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) held the “LIFE Info Day 2023” on 7 July 2023. The Info Day composed of two thematic talks, and one-to-one consultation sessions. The events were held in hybrid mode, on both face-to-face and online basis. Thanks all coming students, parents and teachers, the Info Day was a huge success.
The two thematic talks were “All aspects of DAE (Diploma of Applied Education) of Lingnan” and “The History of a Distinctive School Song”, covering programmes of Diploma of Applied Education (DAE) and Associate of Arts (History). In the talk of “All aspects of DAE (Diploma of Applied Education) of Lingnan”, Ms. LU Ning, Nancy, LIFE Programme Leader of DAE was invited. She shared the curriculum, articulation pathways and application information of the programme. Dr. LEUNG Yung, Executive Director of Hong Kong Teachers’ Association and Education Director of Hong Kong Docent Association, was the speaker of the later. Dr. LEUNG introduced the interesting history of the legendary school song of Lingnan University, which was also widely used in more than a hundred of schools and colleges around the world. The speakers answered queries of audiences, and shared more about what audiences interested in.
One-to-one consultation sessions were also held in hybrid mode. Teachers from LIFE gave individual advice to students according to their unique background, interest and ability. They answered the questions about students’ own articulation pathway, as well as information about LIFE programmes. Some of the comers applied for LIFE programme, and enjoyed a waiver of application fee. The Info Day helped students, parents and teachers grasping the most updated information of the industries and the related career pathway. Hope all of the comers gained some insights from the events.
