Inauguration and Orientation 2018-19
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Inauguration Ceremony & Orientation was held successfully on 28 August 2018 at Chan Tak Tai Auditorium, Lingnan University, to welcome all new students of LIFE.
Officiated by Professor Joshua Mok, Vice-President of Lingnan University and Mr. Simon Ip, JP, Chairman of Board of Governors of CCLU & LIFE, the Inauguration was kicked off with the National and Lingnan University Anthems. Professor Mok welcomed all freshmen to the Lingnan University and hoped they could make the most out of the learning support and resources here. Mr. Simon Ip, JP encouraged students to be confident for the future. Last but not least, Professor Raymond Ng, Director of LIFE, introduced the senior management and academic staff to all new students.
At the orientation session after the ceremony, Dr. Siu Yan Ho, Lecturer of Department of Chinese of Lingnan University, shared his long study journey which started from Project Yi Jin to PhD. His successful story encouraged our students to set academic goals in the commencement of new academic year.
After the orientation session, a series of activities including introduction of teaching resources, student activities and counseling service and programme introduction sessions were arranged for all freshmen to prepare them for a new journey at LIFE.
