Funded by the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS), “Holistic Support Services for Students with Special Education Needs” is launched to provide customized and individualized support for Special Education Needs (SEN) students and students with learning difficulties.
A kick-off ceremony was held on 28 February 2019 to promote this project. Mr. Peter Wong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Dialogue Experience, Mr. Ng Sung Wai, Center In Charge of Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth HKFHY Momentum Academy, and Ms. Celina Yang, Senior Programme Associate of CareER, were invited to be our honorable guests of this ceremony. In order to increase their awareness of this project, game booth challenges such as experiencing the needs of SEN, delivering positive messages and creating inclusive campus were arranged for participants. Besides, pastel nagomi art workshop and experiential of SEN workshops will be conducted in the future as well.
The QESS is set up by the Education Bureau under their Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund to promote quality enhancement of the self-financing post-secondary sector. From 2018 to 2020, “Holistic Support Services for Students with Special Education Needs” will help equip those students with psychological readiness and practical experiences and prepare them to have a smooth transition from schooling to labour market via the following aspects.

- Training for teachers
- Inclusive atmosphere at campus
- Peer mentor
