The 30th Joint College Judo Competition & The Student Invitational Judo Competition 2019
Members of the Lingnan University Judo Team participated in the 30th Joint College Judo Competition on 7 April 2019 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and in the Student Invitational Judo Competition 2019 on 31 March 2019 at the University of Hong Kong. Our Judo athletes won totally 25 medals in the two competitions. Moreover, the Judo team won the 1st runner up of Overall Championship in the 30th Joint College Judo Competition.
In the 30th Joint College Judo Competition, three Year 2 students of Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership got excellent results. Fung Ming Sum and Lee Sin Wa won the championship in the women (junior) -48kg grade and second runner-up in women (junior) -52kg grade respectively. Yip Wing Mei claimed the first runner-up in women (senior) -63kg grade. Hung Cheuk Ling, Year 2 student of Higher Diploma in Fitness Training and Management, won the championship in the women (senior) -48kg grade.
Also, Hung Cheuk Ling and Fung Ming Sum won the championship and first runner-up in the women -48kg grade respectively in the Student Invitational Judo Competition 2019. Yip Wing Mei claimed the first runner-up in women open grade.
