Since March 2021, Mr. Wong Ka Chun and Mr. Woo Chun Kit, year 2 students of Higher Diploma in Chinese Media Writing and Production have served their internship in participating the “HKJC Junior Sports Reporters Programme”for 4 months. High-calibre professionals in broadcasting field were invited to train and mentor the students, offering basic journalism training including copywriting, shooting, interviewing and real-time live broadcasting commentary skills.
During the internship, Ka Chun and Chun Kit had participated in different activities such as “Live Broadcasting of Jockey Club Futsal League”, “JSR Olympics Omakase”, “JSR for Sports Betterment” and “Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s Season Finale – the Spring Regatta”…etc, which enabling them to better understand the work of journalism and media industry, and get prepared for further studies and career development.
Organised by The Hong Kong Jockey Club in association with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, the Junior Sports Reporters Programme offers basic journalism training to young people aged 17 to 25. Through practical experience, the programme aims to improve students' language and communication skills, and assist them in discovering their own interests and potentials.
