LIFE provides us with a lot of activities and resources to build up our experience. I have joined the rowing team which makes me stronger and more mature.       在這兩年的校園生活中，很慶幸可以認識到一班良師益友。無論有什麼問題，老師都會詳細的幫我解答。老師們不僅負責，還很幽默，有時上課會講一些笑話來豐富課程， 當學生遇到課程內外的問題也都樂意幫忙，他們會主動關心學生是否跟得上進度，我可以感受到他們想幫助每一個學生的熱情。現在，即使我畢業了， 老師們也會關心我的近況並提供建議。畢業不到半年，便開始懷念嶺南LIFE的生活、朋友和老師。在此，感謝所有老師的教導。

      時光荏苒，轉眼間就結束了在LIFE的學習生涯。在這裡，師生相處融洽，不僅收穫了一幫志同道合的好朋友，也和老師們成為了深交知己。老師在為學生排憂解難的同時，又會關心學生近來的學習生活，跟老師接觸的時間遠多於與家人相處的時間。「一日為師，終生為父」。每當我在學習時亂了陣腳，老師總能將學習和複習的內容整理得井然有序，讓我對學習內容更加清晰明確。在學習壓力大的時候，老師又能巧妙的讓我放鬆及舒緩壓力，令我心中頓時豁然開朗。謝謝你，在我這兩年的學海中作我的指路明燈，讓我能建立長遠清晰可見的目標。

      ”No pain no gain”. During the two years of my studies at LIFE, I have met a lot of teachers and friends. I am very fortunate to have such a good learning environment, which allows me to improve myself steadily. The Associate Degree programme is different from those in secondary school with a teacher to guide you all the time. Since we will encounter
      difficulties and problems, we should not be shy to ask for advice from teachers and classmates. We can learn from anyone. We can learn from the people around us to improve ourselves. We have to keep learning and achieve excellent results. Thank you to every teacher and classmate I have met in LIFE in the past two years. All of you made me grow up and made me who I am today.

      人生路途，學習永無止境。我在社會工作一段時間後，決定修讀毅進課程。由於有很長時間沒有讀書，一開始很擔心自己跟不上學習進度。但慶幸LIFE的老師都非常有責任心和耐性，我有不懂的地方，他們都很樂意回答以及教導我，讓我對學習重拾信心。我很滿意期末的成績，決定升讀LIFE的工商管理課程。在此感謝LIFE的每一位老師曾經的教導，讓我找回人生目標，未來也會全力以赴，努力學習！

      回想中學時期，從不認真向學，成績表上只出現D、E、F評級。中學畢業後，我從事廚師工作。可是突如其來，得了紅斑狼瘡症，被迫放棄原先視為終身職業的廚師工作。但我沒有因為挫折而一蹶不振，反而決定重返校園，打造另一條出路。我抱着全力以赴的心態去完成課程，只想著路是自己選擇，不要浪費學費和時間。最初，我只盼及格，沒想到LIFE的讀書氣氛和同學對讀書的熱誠，讓我不斷向前進。短短七個月的時間，我們同學和老師打成一片，成為互相扶持的密友。記得有一次，在MYOB會計科中，得到人生中第一次滿分，能在有興趣的學科上學到可應用的技能，滿足感簡直難以形容。毅進資歷是一塊跳板，如今我繼續升學，期待將來在學術性的工作中創造另一片光輝。

      I have found my year of studying Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PgDB) at Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) very interesting and fulfilling.  LIFE is a great platform that gives me an opportunity to improve my English and adapt to Hong Kong’s learning environment and mode, which then allows me to articulate to Master of Science in International Banking and Finance (MIBF) at Lingnan University.  As a matter of fact, based on my personal experience, being a PgDB graduate gave me competitive advantages.  For example, I was given an opportunity to attend the scholarship interview, and professors have confidence in my ability in handling the demanding workload and academic challenge in MIBF. 

      I like the teachers of LIFE very much.  They are attentive and conscientious; from my point of view, they are professional.  Besides, teachers respect students’ ideas very much.  In fact, they are student-oriented, good at exploring students’ potential and building students’ confidence.  During my year at LIFE, I have also got to meet many positive and aspirant classmates, who encouraged me to keep moving forward.  The LIFE journey is my ladder to get higher education.

      After graduation, I have become a student of Master of Science in International Banking and Finance at Lingnan University.  While some of my current classmates have a difficult time writing academic papers and being instructed in English, I am proud to say that I no longer have those difficulties after I spent a year studying Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PgDB) at Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE).  In my opinion, LIFE has provided me with an opportunity to adapt to the education in Hong Kong so that I can better face my future studies and life.  After a year of studying PgDB, I have mastered academic paper writing skills and presentation skills, and have gradually adapted to the English-oriented education in Hong Kong.  I have benefited a lot from studying PgDB at LIFE.

      Studying Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PgDB) at Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) has opened the gate for me to explore new areas of knowledge.  The teachers not only delivered knowledge in our textbooks, but also guided and encouraged students to explore new ideas.  For example, I learned to make business decisions and build business models by analyzing quantitative data in addition to qualitative data analysis from the senior management based on market trends.  The way to teach and to assess the students is also very rich: quizzes, group discussions, company visits, and lectures.  I was also fortunate to be selected as the class representative, so I could report any problems encountered by my classmates to LIFE at any time.  Whether it is a problem in study or in life, the teachers try their best to help the students, and every teacher is very patient.

      在嶺南LIFE學習的光陰，一眨眼就過去了。記得當初剛加入LIFE時，只是單純為了提高學歷而來到這個地方。後來，在這裡，我認識到各位來自不同學科的老師，大家都非常和靄可親。除了專注傳授課堂知識外，也很願意用「說故事」的方式分享自身的經歷，務求為我們的人生帶來一些啟發。另外，參加暑期實習也令我獲益良多，這提供了我一個好機會走出舒適圈，嘗試一些從未遇過的挑戰，上司和同事的建議也讓我對未來的方向更清晰。總括而言，很感激這個地方讓我有了很大的成長！

      兩年來，LIFE的工商管理高級文憑課程給了我增長知識並為投入未來的工作打好基礎的機會。我想要向每一位老師表達我衷心的感謝，感謝他們的支持與教導。這裡的課程非常全面，我也可以將課堂所學自如的運用於日常生活之中。例如，企業流程管理和資訊系統管理教會我如何更謹慎的做好每一個決策。在這兩年的生活豐富多彩，收穫頗豐，也已成為我人生旅途中一段重要的回憶。

      在回到校園前，我十分擔心這決定是否正確，因為本身已經投身社會頗長時間，怕難以適應及跟不上學業。但在社會工作的經驗令我深切體會到學問的重要性，所以我下定決心踏出這一步。慶幸地，在LIFE我遇到一眾友善又有熱誠的師長，他們不厭其煩地解答學生的疑問和困難，使我們更易理解和吸收，更讓我能克服自己的不足順利畢業。LIFE為我提供了一個舒適的學習環境，因此我亦希望繼續在這裡進修充實自己。古語有云「學無前後，達者為先」，與其原地踏步，不如多走一步。

      首先，非常感謝LIFE所有老師們對我的教導。他們非常耐心，詳細解釋內容。LIFE的副學士課程提供全面的商學培訓，涵蓋行業的知識和理論，為升讀學士學位打好基礎，特別是營銷和信息系統管理，也有分析行業的趨勢等等。由於LIFE的副學士課程內容跟我目前於香港樹仁大學修讀的學士學位課程非常相近，對大部分課程內容都已有基本認識及基礎， 讓我的學習事半功倍，大大提高了學習效率。

      LIFE is my first stop studying in Hong Kong after graduated from secondary school. Here I met many amiable teachers and like-minded friends, which enabled me to overcome many difficulties and obstacles in Hong Kong. In the past two years, I have not only completed a leap in my studies, but also established the direction of personal development. The enrichment of the activities and courses in LIFE enriched my knowledge and broadened my horizons. I am grateful to the teachers who offered lots of care and help to me.  All the things that they teach me have been deep-rooted in my mind, which will always be a force in my path forward.
