Professional Qualification and Recognition

  • Graduates who have completed the first year of the Certificate and meet the requirements of the Social Welfare Department will be awarded the "Certificate in Nursing Care for Elderly and Persons with Disabilities(Part-time)" by Lingnan Institute of Further Education and may apply for registration as a health worker from the Social Welfare Department.
  • The course is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF level 3), QR Registration No.:15/003035/L3

Admission Requirements

  • Being 17 years of age or above; AND
  • Completion of Form 5 or equivalent qualification; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE

Application Procedures

Applicants are required to complete an online application form and upload copies of the following supporting documents:
  1. Copies of academic transcripts/certificates
  2. An ID photo

Fee

HK$29,000 per programme 

Tuition fee is payable in two equal installments. Each instalment is HK$14,500.

The Social Welfare Department (SWD) launched the Navigation Scheme for Young Persons in Care Services (the Navigation Scheme) in July 2015, providing a total of 1000 training places starting from 2015-16.
