课程目标

  • To equip students with a range of generic skills, including language, interpersonal and communication, and information technology skills required for pursuing a career in disciplinary forces of related further study

  • To promote students’ awareness of legal and social issues, and apply it to analyze, evaluate and make recommendation to handle social problems

  • To provide students with the subject knowledge in policing, law enforcement and investigation, and related applications to the real-world scenarios

  • To equip students with the essential leadership, teamwork and management skills as well as fitness training required for career pursuit in disciplinary forces

学习成果

Upon completion, students will be able to:​
  • explain and apply various social science concepts to comprehend and handle social problems ethically and responsibly;
  • demonstrate an understanding of fundamental concepts and knowledge relating to disciplinary forces and apply them to the real-world workplace environment;
  • integrate and apply interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, and sport science knowledge and skills required for pursuing a career in the disciplinary forces;
  • evaluate the functions and work procedures of policing and other law enforcement agencies and apply them in crime prevention, control and investigation in Hong Kong;
  • demonstrate proficiency in the use of English and Chinese languages for work or further studies; and
  • identify and integrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills for handling career pursuits or further studies.

纪律部队高级文凭课程致力培训同学成为政府纪律部队一员。
 
为了让同学深入了解纪律部队部门发展，学院于2020年11月4日邀请惩教署代表与纪律部队高级文凭学生分享惩教署的历史、部门运作及投考贴士，以及其个人经历。同学反应热烈，踊跃发问。惩教人员鼓励同学投考，成为他们一分子。

体能训练课程
对象：纪律部队高级文凭学生

根据纪律部队主任的分享，很多人在投考过程中都在体能「失手」，有见及此，本课程在设计时安排了为期一年的体能训练课程。
 
课程理论与实践并重，评分准则亦参考了不同纪律部队要求。更重要的是透过紧密的师生互动，同学与老师互相支持，让训练过程「好玩」，学习动机增加。
