Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony 2021-22
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully on 5 August 2022 at Ben C M Wong Lecture Theatre, Lingnan University, to commend the students of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma Yi Jin with various achievements.
Dr. Eric LUK, Programme Director (Full-time Programmes), welcomed all guests and praised the awardees. Full Attendance Award, Excellent School Service Appreciation Award, Excellent Sports and Talent Award, Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Student Award were given to Diploma Yi Jin students with brilliant performance in various respects. Honour List and Director’s List were also awarded to Associate Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma students with outstanding academic performance.
LIFE awarded the Entrance Scholarship to newly admitted students who possess the outstanding academic performance or special achievements. And Progression Scholarship was also granted as an incentive to Associate Degree or Higher Diploma Year 1 students who progress to Year 2 with the outstanding academic results.
In addition, scholarships from the Hong Kong SAR Government under the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme were awarded to Associate Degree and Higher Diploma students with outstanding academic performance, and also with achievements and talents in other non-academic fields. The awards were namely Outstanding Performance Scholarship, Best Progress Award, Talent Development Scholarship and Endeavour Scholarship.
Awards under HSBC Vocational Education Scholarship Scheme were also given to Associate Degree and Higher Diploma students, not only for their academic excellence and good performance, but also demonstrate a commitment to serving the Hong Kong community.
After the awards presentation, Ms. WONG Chi-kwan, student of Associate of Social Sciences (Psychology), shared her learning journey at LIFE to all guests. Chi Kwan offered her gratitude to her family and all LIFE teachers for their encouragement and patient guidance. She hoped that all guests could try the best to achieve their goals.
Outstanding Teacher Award and Outstanding Administrative Staff Award were also presented to the awardees, Ms. Roxanne CHAN and Ms. Raven LI respectively, recognising their outstanding performance. Roxanne, as the representative of the awardees, expressed that teaching was more challenging than expected, but she stayed true to her belief to transform lives through education. She also shared her gratitude to management, all teaching faculty members and students for their trust, support and encouragement.
