Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony 2022-23
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully on 1 August 2023 at Mr. and Mrs. Wai Kee Kau Audio Visual Theatre, Lingnan University, to commend the students of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma Yi Jin with various achievements.
Mr. Justin LAM, Head of Teaching Faculty, welcomed all guests and praised the awardees, especially on their adaptability to the changing environment. Full Attendance Award, Excellent School Service Appreciation Award, Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Student Award were given to Diploma Yi Jin students with brilliant performance in various respects. Honour Roll, Director’s List and Director’s Scholarship were also awarded to Associate Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma students with outstanding academic performance.
In addition, scholarships from the Hong Kong SAR Government under the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme were awarded to Associate Degree and Higher Diploma students with outstanding academic performance, and also with achievements and talents in other non-academic fields. The awards were namely Outstanding Performance Scholarship, Best Progress Award and Talent Development Scholarship.
After the awards presentation, Mr. CHAN Chun-yin, student of Associate of Arts (History), shared his learning journey at LIFE to all guests. After expressing his gratitude towards teachers, staff and schoolmates in LIFE for their guidance, support and encouragement, Chun-yin shared his struggle before entering LIFE, and affirmed his decision choosing the programme. He encouraged all guests to stay positive when they encounter difficulties, and try to get the most out of themselves and the environment.
