Lok Yan thanked LIFE’s lecturers for creating a relaxing atmosphere to speak Japanese in class, making students eager to communicate in Japanese. The award motivated her to further her study in Japan. She will polish the language in Japan. Yu Ning thanked Dr. Paul Li and Mr. Samuel Ko, both LIFE’s lecturers, for recommendation and support in the application process. She said the award encouraged her a lot. The key to learn a language, as she said, was to fall in love with it and never give up. She is now studying Associate Degree here at LIFE and the scholarship is leveraged for further study.
The Scholarship was established by SOJLEHK to encourage local youngsters in learning Japanese language and thus enhancing their understanding of Japan and broadening their horizon.
