Dr. Vivia Lawton Fowler, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Wesleyan College, delivered a talk “Silenced Voices: Biblical Women Speak Out” on 20 March 2017. Dr. Fowler provided commentary on how women's stories function as literary devices and subplots in the Bible, and told some of their stories, in first-person, using a selection from her collection of original monologues of biblical women.
