Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony 2020-21
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully on 5 August 2021 at Ben C M Wong Lecture Theatre, Lingnan University, to commend the students of Associate Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma and Diploma Yi Jin with various achievements.
Dr. Eric LUK, Programme Director (Sub-degree Programmes), welcomed all guests and praised the awardees. Full Attendance Award, Excellent School Service Appreciation Award, Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Student Award were given to Diploma Yi Jin students with brilliant performance in various respects. Honour List and Director’s List were also awarded to Associate Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma students with outstanding academic performance.
LIFE awarded the Entrance Scholarship to newly admitted students who possess the outstanding academic performance or special achievements. And Progression Scholarship was also granted as an incentive to Associate Degree or Higher Diploma Year 1 students who progress to Year 2 with the outstanding academic results.
In addition, scholarships from the Hong Kong SAR Government under the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme were awarded to Associate Degree and Higher Diploma students with outstanding academic performance, and also with achievements and talents in other non-academic fields. The awards were namely Outstanding Performance Scholarship, Best Progress Award, Talent Development Scholarship and Endeavour Award.
Awards under HSBC Vocational Education Scholarship Scheme were also given to Associate Degree and Higher Diploma students, not only for their academic excellence and good performance, but also demonstrate a commitment to serving the Hong Kong community.
After the awards presentation, Ms. Lau Yat-ying, student of Higher Diploma in Sports Coaching and Leadership, shared her learning journey at LIFE to all guests. Yat Ying offered her gratitude to all LIFE teachers for their encouragement and patient guidance. She hoped that all guests could find their own interest and strive for their dream.
Outstanding Teacher Awards and Outstanding Administrative Staff Award were also presented to the awardees, Dr. Paul Li, Ms. Christine Cheung and Mr. Lee Ka-yiu respectively, recognising their outstanding performance. Christine, as the representative of the awardees, shared her gratitude to all teaching faculty members and administrative colleagues for their support and reminded everyone to keep their enthusiasm of teaching.
