LIFE Info Day 2023 was successfully held
Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE) held the “LIFE Info Day 2023” on 3 June 2023. The Info Day composed of two thematic talks, and one-to-one consultation sessions. The events were held in hybrid mode, on both face-to-face and online basis. Thanks to all coming students, parents and teachers, the Info Day was a huge success.
The two thematic talks were “Sports and Social Enterprise” and “Career Development and Continuing Education in Psychology”, covering industries of Business, Sports Coaching, and Psychology. In the talk of “Sports and Social Enterprise”, Mr. TSANG Kam Hei, Samuel, the founder of 4U Inclusive Fitness was invited. He had a sharing interview with Mr. FUNG Lai Tak and Mr. WONG Lik Chu, Eric, LIFE programme leaders. He shared the experience established the social enterprise, and the tips fighting against the challenges he faced. Mr. YUEN Hei Long, Damian, LIFE programme leader of Associate of Social Sciences (Psychology) was the speaker of “Career Development and Continuing Education in Psychology” Talk. Damian gave a brief picture of psychology, raised out some of the common related misunderstandings, and shared different articulation and development pathways of psychology. The speakers answered queries of audiences, and shared more about what audiences interested in.
One-to-one consultation sessions were also held in hybrid mode. Teachers from LIFE gave individual advice to students according to their unique background, interest and ability. They answered the questions about students’ own articulation pathway, as well as information about LIFE programmes. Some of the comers applied for LIFE programme, and enjoyed a waiver of application fee. The Info Day helped students, parents and teachers grasping the most updated information of the industries and the related career pathway. Hope all of the comers gained some insights for the events.
